I’m a photographer that began my digital photography about 20 years ago. But, I was first captivated as a child by photography watching my father use his rangefinder film camera and using my Kodak Instamatic. Then while studying at university as a young man, I bought my first serious film camera, a Minolta STR-102 SLR camera, to photograph family, friends, and events, as well as to document my academic research. Given my formal education in the sciences and business, I pursued a career as a scientist and businessman in the vaccine and biopharmaceutical industries as I continued an avocation in photography and graphic arts.

At first, I used digital photography and image processing to capture landscapes, nature, and my family while on family vacations and trips to national parks. I used these images as models for drawing and painting back at home. My continuing experience in photography and image processing in support of my graphic arts, and the influence of renowned photographers like Ansel Adams, ultimately focused my enthusiasm for photography as my leading art form.

I’ve continue to study the photographic process and image processing, the art of photography, and renowned photographers (past and present). Much of my training in the skills, knowledge, and business of photography has been through my association and training at Professional Photographers Association (PPA). With two years of study at PPA, I’ve been tested and certified as a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP). I continue collaborate, learn and teach with fellow photographers in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.

My photography includes portraits/headshots photography, outdoors, nature, automobiles, the arts, and competition. Some of my services are donated to local non-profit organizations including the America on Wheels (https://americaonwheels.org/) and Valley Preferred Cycling Center and Velodrome (https://thevelodrome.com/).

I embrace the use of image processing as a tool for creating headshots, portraits, fine art photography, akin to the creative use of a darkroom. Further, I’ve combined my love of photography and graphic arts using digital painting from photographs. In all my photography, I work to see, capture, and express the moments in life’s experiences that express our feelings, emotions, and perspectives.

I am a member of the PPA, a CPP, and the current President of the local Lehigh Valley Photography Club (https://www.lvphotographyclub.org/) which is a very active and growing photography club for beginning and advantages amateurs, as well as professional photographers. We have local members in the Lehigh Valley, and even regional and national members.
