In the last several weeks I had the opportunity to submitted three fine art photographs for a juried photography show "Landscapes and Wildlife of the Delaware Valley" to be held in New Hope, PA on April 18 - May 3, 2015. Two of the photographs were selected for the show and one, "Snowy Repose," was awarded the Best of Show award. It's an honor and a milestone for my photography career. The photograph was made during one of this winter's snow storms at our home's bird feeders and nearby holly tree. My wife, Ann, and I truly enjoyed our visiting birds this winter; their visits provided us with a connection to nature in coldest days of winter, which meant a lot. Ann and I especially liked this photograph and felt it expressed the feelings and reverence of those winter moments with our visiting birds. To have other photographers and artists recognize and award this fine art photograph is very satisfying and represents to me that my work does on at least some occasions effectively express my experiences to others. I look forward to the upcoming show.
