A Day of Personal Photography Firsts

Today is a day of firsts for my photography!

I'll deliver two of my prints to a gallery in New Hope, PA for my first juried photography gallery showing at "Landscapes and Wildlife of the Delaware Valley Show."  The show will be open from April 17th through May 3rd at the Bucks County Audubon Society building located at the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center/Visitor Center, 2877 Creamery Road, Solebury, PA.  If you are local to the Delaware River Valley Area, I hope that you will go to see the fine art photography of some of the leading photographers in the area.  It will help to support the Audubon Society. It's exciting and an honor to be included in the show and be recognized by having one of my prints selected as "Best of Show."

Today is also the first full day of rolling out my newly updated and restructured website. With the increasing visibility of my photography, I'd decided to reorganizing and restructuring my website at RSBeckerPhoto.com. I've created a Welcoming Page as my homepage which now contains a slide show of some of my favorite photographs and a brief introduction of me and my photography.  I also simplified the organization of my galleries containing collects of my photographs.  I've been rolling out the implementation of some of these restructured website pages for the last week. I've happily noticed that I'm now seeing more visitors to my website site daily and the visitors are staying on longer to look at a broader range of photographs.

I've also opened my "Art Photo Gallery" page today where I offer some of my professionally printed fine art photographs for sale (http://www.rsbeckerphoto.com/shop/).  I plan to expand the range of photographs that I offer with time; for example at the close of the upcoming show in New Hope after May 3rd, I'll offer copies of the prints that were shown and offered for sale at the Audubon Society. If there are photographs you would like to see offered in this online shop, please let me know.

Well it's as beautiful spring day here in the Delaware and Lehigh River Valleys.  Ann and I will spend some of this beautiful afternoon in New Hope, PA and Lamberville, NJ seeing some of the galleries and having lunch.  I also plan to stop by two of the covered bridges in that area during the drive and anticipate that those bridges will offer some interesting opportunities for making new photographs.

I hope that you'll enjoy this springtime weekend as well!
